Date of construction: 1937

Dedicated to the memory of the leaders of the uprising of 1784, the obelisk-sized monument (built by architect O. Mihălţan and sculptor I. Fekete) was erected at the initiative and due to the efforts of the ASTRA Cultural Association (the Alba branch), with public and state contributions. It was inaugurated on October 14, 1937, shortly after the anniversary of a century and half from the uprising, within a series of national level events which the Romanian Royal Family also attended.
